San Lorenzo bags 1st tourism quiz bee plum

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The team from San Lorenzo Ruiz Center for Schools and Studies (SLRCSS) on Thursday championed the first ever tourism quiz bee held at Heroes Hall.
The tourism quiz bee is part of the City Government of San Fernando’s celebration of National Tourism Week with a theme “World Wetlands Day-Forest for Water and Wetlands.”
The SLRCSS conquered all three rounds – the easy, average and difficult stages – to win by a slim margin over Pampanga High School and St. Scholastica’s Academy.
The SLRCSS team was composed of Jose Alberto Agustin Jingco, Maxine Del Rosario, and Lorenzo Manipon, with alternates Patricia Joy Magsino and Troy Adam David.
According to Senior Tourism Officer Ching Pangilinan, the quiz bee was meant to raise awareness on the importance of domestic and international tourism and history of spots especially in the city.
“Aside from the quiz bee being part of our celebration of tourism week, our objective was to raise the awareness of students regarding tourism and its importance now,” she told Sun.Star Pampanga.
Other schools that joined the quiz bee were Northville 14 Integrated School, Sindalan High School, Lyndale Academy, Infant Jesus Academy, San Nicolas Integrated School, Information Communication Technology High School and Lara Integrated School. (Jovi T. De Leon)
