Pernod Ricard unveils limited edition F1 Mumm Champagne Jeroboam in UK
Pernod Ricard has unveiled limited edition jeroboams of Mumm Champagne in the UK for the upcoming British Grand Prix on 28 June 2013 and Father’s Day on 16 June 2013.
The move is part of Pernod’s plan to highlight Mumm’s continuous sponsorship of Formula One (F1) racing.
This special edition F1 jeroboam of Mumm Champagne is identical to the ones handed to F1 race winners on the podium.
Housed in a wooden case with a metal plaque on top, the 3l champagne bottle will be sold in select UK bars and restaurants and select retail outlets at a recommended retail price of £970.
Besides limited edition jeroboams, all Mumm bottles, including 750ml bottles, will feature F1-branded neck collar bearing F1 official Champagne logo, the F1 laurel wreath and the red ribbon sash of GH Mumm house. These products will be sold during the Silverstone F1 Grand Prix later in June 2013.
Pernod Ricard Champagne marketing head Vicky Wood was quoted by Harpers as saying that GH Mumm has been the official Champagne of F1 since 2000.
“With 20 races around the world, the F1 season holds genuine global appeal, attracting over 2 billion viewers per annum,” Wood added.
