No heavy rains, but water level at Pampanga River rises

The water has been rising beyond its normal level, they said, even though there is no heavy downpour in the area.
Communities adjacent to the Pampanga River are expected to be submerged in floodwaters anytime if the volume of water from neighboring provinces in Northern Luzon will not reduce.
“Dahil sa mababa tayo, lahat ng tubig ulan sa upstream ay sa atin bumababa. Kaya mukhang lulubugin na naman tayo,” Robert Sagum, a resident said.
As this developed, residents in San Agustin are preparing their boats which serve as their means of transportation during this season.
Those living in bungalow-type houses have moved their properties and other personal belongings to higher ground.
Residents here are always ready during the rainy season, managing to deal with 15 feet of floodwaters in the past.
