Description: This year’s Annual LSI Legal/Industry Wine Seminar in Walla Walla, August 9, is the most diverse and varied wine seminar yet presented. Topics this year include: The metrics and financing of vineyards and wineries; legal traps for the unwary in opening and operating wineries and tasting rooms; the top five key issues for grape growers; and the growing importance of trademark and other intellectual property protections. In addition, a couple of local speakers will give an update on a proposed new American Viticultural Area (AVA) for the Milton Freewater area; the growth of wineries and vineyards in Walla Walla AVA and the increasing recognition of Washington wines worldwide.
