Lawmaker pledges P5M to school program

MABALACAT — Ang Galing Pinoy Partylist Representative Juan Miguel Arroyo has pledged P5 million to the “Kabahagi Ako sa Handog Silid Aralan Tugon sa Kaunlaran Adopt-A-School Program” of first district Representative Carmelo Lazatin.
Arroyo made his pledge during a breakfast meeting with Lazatin at the House of Representatives minority office Monday.
He told Lazatin, who is the author of the school project, that he will fund the construction of eight new classrooms in the towns of Mabalacat and Magalang.
Lazatin thanked Arroyo for the support to the program. “Aaraw-arawin natin ang ibang party-list representatives para tulungan tayo sa ating programa sa education (We will meet with other partylist representatives to gather more support for the program),” Lazatin said.
Aside from Arroyo, Ale Partylist Representative Catalina Bagasina also joined and supported Kabahagi Ako and pledged P2.5 million.
