Guv gets a 9.5 rating

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Fourth District Board Member Ricardo Yabut on Monday gave Governor Lilia Pineda a grade of 9.5 for her first year in office and for her well-crafted and delivered state of the province address.
Yabut, who chairs the Provincial Board’s committee on public works added, “Wala tayong masasabi kung hindi ipagpatuloy niya ang ibat-ibang projects ng Kapitolyo lalo na iyung tungkol sa health and solid waste management (We hope that she continues her programs and projects, especially on health and waste management).”
He said that the governor can also now focus on needed infrastructure projects like the farm-to-market roads.
Yabut, who plans to run for the congressional post, acknowledged that Pineda’s another priority is the rehabilitation of flood mitigation infrastructure to save roads.
“So we need to desilt and clean up our rivers and waterways so water flows directly to the sea. That way, our dikes will not be damaged, there would be no flooding and roads would be protected,” Yabut said.
He added that the whole Provincial Board will continue to support the governor on her programs and projects.
