CL cops ‘bleed’ for Red Cross

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — The Philippine National Police (PNP) in Central Luzon donated a total of 39,000 cubic centimetres (cc) of blood to the Philippine National Red Cross.

This is in line with the observance of the 18th PNP Community Relations Month and the National Blood Donors Month, Chief Supt. Edgardo Ladao, Central Luzon police regional director, said.

The bloodletting activity, spearheaded by the Regional Police Community Relations Office, headed by Senior Supt. Romeo De Castro, was held at this camp’s multi-purpose hall.

De Castro said 79 police personnel from the regional office “shed blood” for the donation to the Red Cross-Pampanga Chapter.
Ladao said the police regional office 3 has been an active partner in the voluntary blood donation program of the Philippine National Red Cross.

The activity is also aimed to raise the consciousness of every PNP personnel “to do a very noble and heroic act not only in doing their jobs rightfully but also through blood donation in order to save lives of other people,” said Ladao.
