ALOXE-CORTON 1ER CRU LES VERCOTS

LOCATION

ALOXE-CORTON is a little village, located in the Northern part of the Côte de Beaune. Its wine-area benefits from exposures ranging from East to South and Southwest.

SURFACE
Domaine GUYON holds 0.70 hectare (1.73 acres) of ALOXE-CORTON 1ER CRU LES VERCOTS.

SOIL AND GRAPE VARIETY

Clay and limestone
100% Pinot Noir

HARVEST AND VINIFICATION

Hand-harvested, the grapes are then carried in small boxes and sorted upon arrival at the cellar.
Long fermentation during 20 days in wooden open vats, with treading and temperature control.

AGEING
18 months in French oak barrels (1/3 new oak).

CHARACTER
Very nice deep ruby robe with little red fruits aromas. Rich and round in the mouth with a long finish and a well-balanced woody  character.  This wine may be kept for 15 years.

SERVICE
To be served at 16-17°C with roasted meat, game and most cheeses
