CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Governor Lilia Pineda started signing memorandum of agreements with municipal mayors here on Monday for the implementation of the Skills Registry System (SRS) to facilitate efficient jobs matching through a databank system.
Pineda formally signed an agreement with Lubao Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab for the installation of a computer unit that will host the program database for the SRS program.
The agreement is in accordance with Provincial Board Resolution No. 2389 that authorizes Pineda to enter agreements with various municipalities here to install single unit computers for the implementation of the SRS program.
Meanwhile, Mayor Pineda-Cayabyab said the project will greatly help in making job opportunities closer to skilled workers in the countryside.
She said people in the barangays will be able to learn about available jobs in major areas.
The computers that were subsidized by the Provincial Government of Pampanga will be initially placed in the priority towns of Mexico, Lubao, Guagua, Apalit and Sta. Ana.
Computers with the SRS system will also be made available in other towns in the coming weeks.
Provincial Public Employment Service Office head Luningning Vergara said they are coordinating with various companies who would like to access the SRS system of the province for their job pooling in the respective human resources departments.
