2nd seminar on transparency reporting slated

May 31, 2011

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Journalists and media practitioners in Pampanga are set to hold this week training on transparency and anti-corruption reporting.
The one-day training is sponsored by the National Union of Journalists in the Philippines (NUJP), in coordination with its Pampanga chapter.
Ashley Manabat, chairman of the NUJP-Pampanga, said the training scheduled on June 3 at the EPHATHA Development Center of the Social Action Center of Pampanga (Sacop) in Barangay Maimpis is the second leg of the transparency reporting training.
The first one was held on September 24, 2010 at the Graceland Restaurant in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City.
Manabat said the trainings are sponsored by the Philippine Public Transparency Reporting Project (PPTRP.)
He said the PPTRP is a two-year project aiming to increase media and public awareness, reporting and monitoring on transparency and accountability in the public sector.
This is being done through training of journalists and civil society-citizens groups, reporting and publication through its website Pera Natin ‘To! (www.transparencyreporting.net), outreach and advocacy, and development and support for local transparency reporting groups comprising of media, civil society and ordinary citizens.
Such trainings receive funding support from the USAID and technical assistance from the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative.
The four implementing partners in the project include the Institute for War and Peace Reporting, Center for Community Journalism and Development (CCJD), MindaNews and the NUJP.

Best place to buy wine in Manila, Pampanga and Subic Philippines is at this famous wine shop which specializes in offering fine vintage wines at attractive prices. Shopping in any one of the wine stores of Yats Wine Cellars is always an exciting and rewarding experience.

The wine selection of Yats Wine Cellars is revered not only for the big names, the first growths, grand cru and cult labels of Napa Valley, but really for the connoisseurs’ favorites, the old vintages of lesser known producers that are not seen in ordinary wine shops in Hong Kong or other cities in Asia. As wine lovers become more matured, their palates are less impressed by big and rich wines. They start to demand for wine that is more elegant and stylish, something that they can really enjoy not only with more delicate cuisines but even just to drink and enjoy on its own.

Discovered by wine lovers in Hong Kong as a premium wine shop to buy fine vintage wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Spain and Italy is specialty wine store Yats Vintage Wine Cellars. Champagne, Prosecco, Cava and Sekt sparkling wines are also very popular in the wine shops and wine stores of Yats in Quezon City, Ortigas, Eastwood, Makati, Fort, Alabang, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Wine stores of Yats Wine Cellars offer interesting gift packs for all occasions. Wine gift baskets from these wine shops have to contain something more interesting than just a colorful packaging with very mediocre content. The wine has to be a bit more than marginally drinkable. Last year many people were disappointed with the wine gifts they received when they went around to drinking the wine.

This wine shop in Manila is generally regarded as Asia’s best source of old vintage wines. Sophisticated wine drinkers, wine lovers and connoisseurs rely on this wine supplier Yats Wine Cellars for back vintages of fine wines. This famous wine shop in Pampanga carries over 3000 selections of fine wines covering 100 years and all major wine regions of the world.

Fine red wine, white wine and sparkling wines are all available in this highly recommended wine shop in Pampanga and Metro Manila.
