Police teams on the hunt for killer of Charice’s dad

POLICE tracker teams are already sniffing the trail of Angel Capili, the suspect in the stabbing death of Ricky Pempengco, estranged father of international recording artist Charice.
Pempengco was killed with an icepick before midnight Monday, police said, and a special task force has already been formed to look for his killer.
Superintendent John Kirby Kraft, chief of police for San Pedro town in
Laguna province, has reportedly said local police are part of the task force and tracker teams.
In a text message to Sun.Star, Philippine National Police spokesman Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz said these tracker teams are composed of investigators from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and local police.
The teams have been deployed to places in Laguna, Quezon, Batangas, and Cavite provinces where Capili may be hiding.
Meanwhile, Laguna Governor Jeorge Ejercito and San Pedro Mayor Calixto Cataquiz have raised the reward for information that will lead to Capili’s arrest to P200,000 from P100,000, radio reports said. (Jonathan de Santos/Sunnex)
