Pampanga cops participate in absentee voting

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO–Police officers and personnel of Pampanga who were registered as absentee voters casted their votes on Monday at the provincial office here.

The conduct of the manual absentee voting was held at the Bale Katimawan (Freedom Hall) inside the Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPO) compound and started at 9 a.m.

The local absentee voting was supervised by Senior Supt. R’win Pagkalinawan, who was still the Pampanga Police provincial director Monday. (See related story)

The voting was also supervised by lawyer Caterina Guiao, City of San Fernando Election Officer.
Supt. Jhoanna Rosales, PPO operation’s chief, said the voting is in pursuance to a Commission on Election’s Resolution.

According to Rosales, there were 27 police personnel in the province who are registered as absentee voters for the national elections and all of them casted their votes for senators and party-list representatives.

Rosales explained that after the activity, all the official ballots were sealed in envelopes and will be sent to the Comelec’s head office in Intramuros, Manila for safekeeping and counting on the day of the elections. ●Froilan E. Magtoto
