European-inspired condo-hotel opens in Balibago

ANGELES CITY – A European-inspired condominium-hotel (condotel) located at the city’s business center opened its doors to the public over the weekend.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of the Fields Plaza Suites (FPS), a premier luxury condotel in Barangay Balibago, was led by FPS owner Gerard Heinen and Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting.
In an interview, Heinen said FPS offers superb accommodations for individual guests, couples and even larger groups.
FPS has units ranging from $125 per night for single-bedroom suites to the two-bedroom $385 “Penthouse 888”. Other single- or two-bedroom deluxe residences are priced at $175 to $250 per night.
Each suite boasts of the comfort of a modern home, including high-speed wireless Internet access, LCD televisions with DVD players and international cable channels, luxuriously appointed living and dining areas, bathrooms with plush toiletries and a fully equipped kitchen.
Some suites have additional features such as indoor and outdoor party Jacuzzis, wider balconies with sun deck chairs, and even spacious gardens with gazebos and outdoor dining furniture.
Other condotel features include 24-hour front desk assistance, round-the-clock housekeeping services, transportation service and comprehensive security system with CCTV cameras and exclusive key card access in all areas.
“This hotel is something we can all be proud of, especially the Kapampangans,” Heinen said.
Heinen, a half-Dutch and a half-Filipino citizen, said he personally designed the condotel, whose predominant colors are black and red.
Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Cabigting said the opening of the hotel would mean more tourists coming to the city.
The condotel is owned and managed by the ABC Group, which has established its reputation through the Angeles Beach Club Hotel, which is currently the top luxury boutique hotel in the city.
