Car dealer gunned down

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — A car dealer on Tuesday was shot to death by unidentified suspects at his auto sales shop along Jose Abad Santos Avenue here.
Superintendent Luisito Magnaye, city police chief, identified the victim as Raul Mallari alias Matoy, owner and manager of K2M Auto Sales, a dealer of pre-owned cars most of which are luxury vehicles.
Magnaye told Sun.Star Pampanga that based on witnesses’ account, while Mallari was inspecting his shop at 9 a.m., three men alighted from a white Mitsubishi FB van (RGB 461) and shot the victim at close range with short firearms of unknown caliber.
The victim died on the spot while the suspects sped towards the direction of Mexico town.
Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered 12 spent bullets at the crime scene. Five people were onboard the van, three of them shot and killed the victim, said Magnaye.
He said one of the angles the police will look into might be a “deal gone sour” but other details will be studied first, including footages from security cameras installed in the shop.
