Bizman loses vehicle while having lunch
Thursday, December 16, 2010
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Police are enjoining everyone to secure their vehicles this Christmas after a businessman lost his car to suspected carnappers.
Virgilio Castro, who resides in Richtown 2 Subdivision in Barangay Sindalan this city, said his Toyota Fortuner, worth around P900,000, was stolen while he was having lunch at Cely’s along Lazatin Boulevard, this city, Thursday afternoon.
He narrated that by the time he came out of the restaurant around 1:45 p.m., his car was gone.
Castro said he failed to engage the car’s wheel lock because he parked very close to the restaurant’s entrance. He said he was confident about not engaging the wheel lock since he ate at the place almost every day and deemed it safe.
Castro further said his car was like a second home. In addition to the car, Castro lost documents, clothing, house keys, medicine and other valuables estimated at P10,000.
Meanwhile, case investigator PO3 Edwin Abad of the Community Police Assistance Center 2 in Barangay Dolores here said they are coordinating with the Highway Patrol regarding the case.
“We have no witnesses, but we are doing all we can to recover the victim’s vehicle,” Abad said.
At the same time, Abad issued a warning to Kapampangans to be alert in light of the rising number of criminal activities this Christmas. (Ria de Fiesta)
