CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Newly crowned Mutya Ning San Fernando Ina Florence Yap said she will allot the cash prize she won in the beauty tilt to beneficial projects.
The tall and statuesque Filipino-Chinese beauty from Barangay Dolores and the daughter of slain businessman Florencio “Jack” Yap will set aside her career to become the city’s first ever full time ambassador of goodwill.
During the first death anniversary mass of her father at Fortune Restaurant on Thursday, Ina’s mom told Sun.Star Pampanga that she broached of her plans.
“She told me that she will set aside her sure offers to work for banks and other companies. She said she will use her winnings in the pageant for charitable purposes. And I told her to go on with her plans and what she thinks is good for the city,” Teresa, Ina’s mother, said.
On June 6, Ina and her entourage of three “lakans” will embark on their first charity work and will distribute school bags and supplies to poor students at San Nicolas Elementary School.
