3 drug dealers nabbed in buy-bust

PORAC — Combined elements of the Regional Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group (RAIDSOTG) and the Porac Police conducted a buy-bust operation that led to the arrest of three suspected drug dealers here.
Police arrested suspects Jimmy Salvador, 31, and Edson Manusig, 28, both from Magnolia Street; and Gilbert Rena, 32, of 4004 Bongavilla Street, all residents of San Antonio Subdivision in Barangay Manibaug Paralaya, this town.
Confiscated from their possession were four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride commonly known as “shabu” as well as a P1,000 marked bill.
A civilian informant earlier told police about the operations of one alias “Jimmy”, who is allegedly selling suspected shabu along Carlos Street, Fatima Subdivision, Barangay Sta. Cruz, this town.
The said person is included in the suspected drug personalities of Porac Police Station.
Acting on the said information, a team was formed to conduct casing, surveillance and possible drug buy-bust operation.
Coordination was made with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), which in turn proceeded to the Porac Police Station for coordination.
The team proceeded to the target area to conduct surveillance and drug transaction. Around 3:30 p.m., with the help of the civilian informant, the police poseur buyer was able to buy suspected “shabu” in exchange for the P1,000 marked money from Salvador, who was accompanied by his two colleagues Manusig and Rena. The three were then arrested by the operatives.
When subjected to body search, each of them yielded heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected “shabu”.
Appropriate charges are now being prepared against the arrested suspects.
