2 dead in Pampanga gun attack

CAMP Olivas, Pampanga — Motorcycle-riding gunmen strike anew in Pampanga killing two persons in Bgy. Sto. Niño, City of San Fernando, last Wednesday.
Police Regional Office 3 director Chief Supt. Edgardo T. Ladao identified the victims as Wendel Lagman, 39, Erwin Santos, 37, both of Venus St., San Fernando Subd., Bgy. Santo Nino.
Ladao said the victims sustained multiple bullet wounds in their bodies.
Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) recovered six spent shells and two fired bullets for cal. 40 pistol at the scene.
Investigators said the victims were in front of Lagman’s ancestral house at around 6 p.m. when one of the suspects appeared and shot them repeatedly.
Lagman died instantly while Santos managed to get inside the compound but died later.
Lagman’s body was brought to Funeraria Punzalan in the City of San Fernando while Santos was brought to Tumang Funeral Homes in Mexico town.
The parents of the victims opted not to place the body of Lagman and Santos for autopsy for unknown reasons.
Police said Lagman, at the time of his death, was reportedly a member of a high-profile criminal group engage in carnapping and other illegal activities in Central Luzon.
He has several pending cases of rape, murder, attempted murder and illegal possession of explosives before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
