14 hurt in Expressway’s smashup

CAMP OLIVAS – Fourteen people were injured in a four-vehicle smashup along the North Luzon Expressway’s (NLEx) San Simon exit on Friday.
In a report reaching Police Regional Director Edgardo T. Ladao said the accident took place near the San Simon exit heading for the City of San Fernando.
Ladao said based on the initial report, the accident occurred at the height of strong winds and heavy rains brought about by tropical storm “Falcon.”
Initial investigation showed the vehicles involved in the smashup included a 14-wheeler dump truck, a six-wheeler Elf-type truck, a passenger jeep, and an Innova-type Asian utility vehicle.
He said those injured were rushed to a nearby hospital in the City of San Fernando.
